Potluck Musical Shabbat—July 18

Update: The Potluck Shabbat was awesome! Everyone had a fantastic time. Rabbi Goldstein and Cantor Kintisch led a beautiful service, the food was delicious, and we have awesome photos from our in-house photographer extraordinaire Rachel Schwartz. You can see all the photos on our Facebook page.

Join us on Friday, July 18, 2014 at 6:00 PM at the Hanson Park Conservancy in Cranford, NJ for our Potluck Musical Shabbat.

Last year, the Cranford Chronicle wrote about our first Potluck Musical Shabbat:

“The pot-luck Shabbat idea was born after Shabbat Across America in March.” said co-organizer Adrienne Fitzer. “We often get friends and members of the community together for a Shabbat meal and service, but we thought that instead of having a caterer or a small group of members cook for everyone, it would be great to get everyone to cook for each other.” Attempting to capture the feeling of Shabbat at sleep-away camp, the organizers selected the Hanson Park Conservancy, a park with a theater-in-the-round, steps away from the Rahway River in Cranford. On July 26, Hazzan Shuli Hersh, accompanied by Hazzan Brian on guitar, led more than 100 participants in TBEMC’s first off-site, outdoor, Friday night Shabbat service with instruments.

So please come out a join us for our second annual Potluck Musical Shabbot this year!
